How it compares
- Shoppers who need more sleeping space often look at slide-out bunkhouse trailers, but those typically add significant length and weight that can exceed lighter tow vehicle ratings.
- Pop-up campers offer a similar compact footprint but lack the full stand-up interior height and solid-wall construction found in the 196BH.
- Teardrop and ultra-compact trailers are lighter and easier to tow but generally cannot accommodate 5 sleepers or a full galley with a microwave and refrigerator.
Common questions
How long is the Wildwood X-Lite FSX 196BH?
This floorplan is 22 feet long, making it easy to tow with a wide range of half-ton trucks and SUVs and simple to back into most campsite sizes.
How many people can this trailer sleep?
It sleeps up to 5, making it a practical choice for small families or groups who want dedicated sleeping space without stepping up to a larger unit.
Does it have a slide-out?
No, the 196BH has zero slides. That keeps the floor plan simple, reduces potential leak points, and means you get your full interior space whether you're in a tight campsite or a spacious field.
How big is the fresh water tank?
The fresh water tank holds 28 gallons, giving you a reasonable supply for weekend trips or short stints off-hookup.
What kind of air conditioning does it have?
It comes equipped with a side-mount A/C unit, positioned to keep the roofline clean and interior ceiling unobstructed.
What is the roof warranty and construction like?
The one-piece seamless roof is fully walkable and carries a 12-year warranty. The underlying truss-built structure with walk-on decking adds rigidity and long-term durability.
What cooking and refrigeration options are included?
The kitchen includes a 2-burner cook top, a microwave, and a 4.3 cubic foot electric refrigerator. The 6-gallon gas DSI water heater with push-button ignition handles hot water needs.
